Kieszonki w kolarskiej odzieży to mały detal, który w praktyce robi ogromną różnicę. Dobrze spakowane potrafią uratować trening, długą wycieczkę albo start w zawodach. Źle wykorzystane – potrafią irytować, przeszkadzać w jeździe i psuć komfort. Co więc warto w nich wozić, a co lepiej zostawić w domu?
Co warto mieć w kieszonkach?
Podstawą jest jedzenie – batony, żele energetyczne lub suszone owoce. Najlepiej takie, które łatwo wyjąć jedną ręką. Druga obowiązkowa rzecz to telefon, schowany w centralnej lub zapinanej kieszeni, najlepiej w dodatkowym etui chroniącym przed potem i deszczem.
Warto też wozić małą pompkę lub naboje CO₂, dętkę oraz łyżki do opon – szczególnie na dłuższych trasach. W chłodniejsze dni w kieszonkach świetnie sprawdzi się lekka kamizelka albo rękawki, które można szybko zdjąć i schować bez zatrzymywania się. Przydatne bywają również klucze (najlepiej na małym karabińczyku) i chusteczki lub mały buff.
Czego lepiej nie wkładać?
Unikaj przedmiotów ciężkich i sztywnych, które mogą obijać się o plecy lub powodować dyskomfort – duże powerbanki, portfele czy zestawy narzędzi „jak do warsztatu” lepiej zostawić w sakwie lub aucie. Zły pomysł to też luźne drobiazgi, które mogą wypaść na wybojach.
Nie warto również przeładowywać kieszonek – zbyt duży ciężar sprawia, że koszulka lub bluza zaczyna „siadać”, a materiał traci swoje właściwości. Komfort i aerodynamika szybko na tym cierpią.

Kolarstwo i podróżowanie to duet idealny – szczególnie poza sezonem. Zimą i wczesną wiosną wiele europejskich regionów oferuje świetne warunki do jazdy, mniej turystów i bardziej przystępne ceny. Wśród zimowych klasyków niezmiennie króluje Hiszpania – Andaluzja czy Costa Blanca zachwycają słońcem, dobrym asfaltem i trasami o różnym stopniu trudności. Południowa Portugalia to z kolei świetny wybór dla tych, którzy cenią spokojniejsze drogi i oceaniczne widoki.
Dla osób preferujących podróż samochodem, południe Europy jest jak najbardziej osiągalne. Przejazd z Polski do północnych Włoch czy Chorwacji zajmuje około 10–14 godzin, a koszty paliwa i opłat drogowych przy pełnym aucie często są porównywalne do ceny biletów lotniczych. In 2025, she competed in Ironman Poland and the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Marbella, competing in the K30-34 age group. At Ironman 70.3 Warsaw, she placed 13th in her group, and at the Garmin Iron Triathlon, she was the fastest women's 1/2 IM runner-up with a time of 5:02:00. Maryna represents the Grebenstar Team / Labosport Team and regularly competes in triathlons around the world, gaining experience and inspiring other athletes with her determination and passion for triathlon. In the Karkonosze Mountains, the wind has a personality. And a… dominant one at that. He doesn't care that you have a training session planned, that you want to beat a segment, that today was supposed to be "easy". It blows however it wants. From whichever direction it wants. And usually straight to the forehead .
And that's why this guide was created. Although I warn you: nothing will save you . But at least you can look and feel like you're in control.
1. Stop believing in magical wind directions
Madejski says:
"A tailwind is like a unicorn. Everyone talks about it, but no one has seen it."
In the Karkonosze Mountains the following rule applies: Every wind will hit your face sooner or later . Because mountains have their own laws of physics—usually against you.
2. When it's windy, slow down... or pretend it's supposed to be that way
The worst thing you can do is fight the hurricane of ambition. Instead: – set lower position – take the blow on the chest – tell yourself that “this is power training, not speed training.”
It works. Mentally. Physically — not necessarily.
3. Learn to judge the wind by… squirrels
In the Karkonosze Mountains, the best barometers are not flags or forecasts. Squirrels are the best.
If they jump on trees lightly, it will be difficult. If they are sitting down and keeping their noses down, get home before they knock you down.
4. Wind speed increases with height and… your ego
The more you try to show that "nothing can break you," the harder the wind starts to blow. The Karkonosze Mountains feel it.
Madejski claims that mountains have a built-in ego sensor. And it's hard to deny he's right.
5. Okay, you can't change the wind - but you can change your clothes

Postcard-perfect views, dream-like routes – and at the same time, a mountain labyrinth in which even the most experienced competitor can suddenly see the map as if it were hieroglyphs.
That's why today: A guide to the Karkonosze Mountains – how not to get lost (even though it will happen to you anyway) .
1. Have a map. And a plan B.
The Karkonosze Mountains change faster than the weather in March. Trail closed, detour, repairs, GPS loses signal - a classic.
The mountaineers say: "A paper map has never run out of charge on a climb."
2. Don't blindly trust the labels
The red trail is sometimes red, and sometimes it is… a faded orange. It also happens that it drives differently than yesterday.

You ask, which is the best way? And you hear: "Behind the forest, turn left, then straight, and then you'll see."
Well, you'll see. But most often it's something different than you intended.
6. Ride with someone who knows the area
And preferably with someone who knows the area… and can admit that they just got lost again .
Because in the Karkonosze Mountains even the best take the map out of their pockets "just to be sure".
7. Getting lost is part of the adventure
An extra kilometer? Additional driveway? An extra hour in the mountains?
This isn't a mistake - it's a bonus.
As a famous highlander says: "The Karkonosze Mountains reward those who have time and patience."

Some cyclists have their rituals. Others have their lucky socks. Our Master, however, has his own, absolutely invaluable training principle, which he repeats more often than "good morning": "When it hurts, it grows."
This is not an ordinary saying. It's a lifestyle. It's a mentality. This is the translation for all those who ask: "Łukasz, why are you struggling so much?"
Does it hurt? It means something is wrong.
Every cyclist knows this moment: your legs are burning, your heart rate is soaring into the stratosphere, and the driveway in front of you looks like a wall.
Then most of us choose one of two options:
we slow down,
we pray that it will be down already.
Our friend chooses the third one: he puts "M" in his head for Marathon and tightens it.
Because in his world, pain is not an obstacle — it is information: "Hey man, you're getting in shape!"
Why does this rule work?
Because it combines the three best elements of cycling psychology:
1. Pain = stimulus
When the body is challenged, it adapts. Higher lactate threshold. Greater tolerance to fatigue. Stronger legs. Yes, all this just when it hurts.
2. The head does the work
Łukasz rides a lot, hard and… without panties (but you already know that ) :D . He also knows that the most important muscles in cycling are hidden—in the head. When your mind says, "You can do it," your legs just keep going.
3. Satisfaction after all
That moment when you finish a climb that you wanted to turn back from 3 times along the way? This is cycling gold. And Łukasz lives for these moments.

And if you ask Łukasz where this philosophy comes from, he will answer with a smile: "Because it can't be otherwise."
Is pain a goal? Of course not.
The goal is development , and pain is information that you are taking a step towards better shape. And although each of us has our own limit, our own pace and our own boundaries — Łukasz reminds us that the greatest changes happen not when things are easy, but when… when there is a slight burning sensation in the legs.
